AG baby’s forever baby, Simisola Bolatito Kosoko (nee Ogunleye) whom the five-star lifestyle and stardom oblates the name. SIMI is a hybrid Nigerian woman and musical artist (whom unapologetically depicts the parlance ALPHA WOMAN) propagating the African culture and heritage through her sound, charisma and values.

Born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Ogunleye as the last child on the 19th day in the month of April of the 1988, grew up in Ojuelegba – a suburb city in Lagos where she completed her primary and secondary education. Furthering her academics, she gained admission into Covenant University, Sango-Otta where Simisola bagged a degree in Mass Communication.

Being a daddy and mummy’s pet and also an “ajebo in the ghetto” as she called herself in one of her songs, it could have initially seemed an insurmountable achievement etching her name in the hall of fame A-LIST celebrities, amazing right? The song ‘tiff’ earned her a nomination from THE HEADIES 2015 under the category of BEST ALTERNATIVE SONG.

Her incessant features and collaboration with FALZ THE BAD GUY got the whole town talking unknown to the general public that there was a Gold behind the scene always ready to “change for her” and “bad for her” as long as she could “call on him”. So sweet! meanwhile have you heard of her EP Album ‘Restless’ which dropped in 2014? and guess what?! She proved to be invincible with the way she maneuvered her ways with original foreign songs like Adele’s SET FIRE TO THE RAIN, Rihanna’s MAN DOWN just to mention a few and gave it a new look. Believe me it’d leave you beyond mind blown.

Furthermore, this amazing thirty-five year old woman is one Nigerian woman who can double as a musical artist and top-star actress. In 2019, she made her acting debut in Mokalik, a movie by Kunle Afolayan where she played herself (Simi). Simi was depicted as the beautiful, kindhearted and nice princess of the mechanic village where she assists her mother run her cafeteria. There’s a high tendency that her character was inspired by SIDI in Wole Soyinka’s LION AND THE JEWEL. Although she got married to whom she loved unlike the stereotyped character.

Over the years, she has a lot of works (featured, collaborations etc.) to her credit, can you mention some? Ops! Skipped my mind, eventually she tied the knot with her heartthrob Adekunle ‘Adekunle Gold’ Kosoko in January 2019 and the Union was blessed with a beautiful and smart Adejare ‘Deja’ Kosoko in 2020. Balancing marital life and the celebrity is definitely choking and exhausting as it looks, but then it’s SIMISOLA THE WOMAN KING in question.

More groundbreaking achievements, she has attained some of which includes featuring as a judge on THE NIGERIA IDOL season 7, becoming the C.E.O of Studio Brats and also improving on her sound and never giving us less of her Wonderful.
